Ardrossan Winton Rovers 1 - 5 Kilbirnie Ladeside

Winton at least started this game in grand fashion scoring after only 26 seconds alas it proved not to be their night as Ladeside demonstrated their superiority with some well taken goals. Stephen McAvoy got the home side of to the best possible start with a goal in the first minute of the game and latched onto a through ball and poked it past the advancing Ryan Ward. Ladeside came back into the game and an Erskine cross was powerfully headed goalwards by Longworth but O'Neill saved. Ladeside got on level terms when a corner on the left was hooked home by Alan Kinney. Winton had a chance on 19 minutes when Muir got on the end of a McAvoy cross but his header came off a Kilbirnie defender. The Blastie's went 2 -1 up on 23 minutes when a good fast passing move on the right saw the ball fall to Longworth who side footed the ball home. Winton tried to get back into the game and Keir Milliken showed his attacking strengths linking well and driving in at the opposition but the finish wasn't there. Longworth almost got his second when he rounded O'Neill but his effort came off the far post and Winton cleared. On 42 minutes another fast passing move on the right saw Quigley set up Longworth and he made no mistake to make it 3-1 at half time. Winton almost made it 3 - 2 on 69 minutes when Scott Adam crossed for Muir but his effort hit the far post and into the arms of the Ladeside keeper and from this clearance sub Gary Davidson who crossed for David Gray to tap home and make it 4 - 1 to the Blasties. McAvoy had a solo effort on 74 minutes but Ward saved but Davidson made it nap on 80 minutes when a move on left exposed O'Neill who parried a shot and the youngster followed up with an easy tap in.
